Tsunami: The Aftermath – President Widodo visits hotel where rescuers attempt to recover bodies

Sky’s Mark Stone reports from Palu on the second part of his aid journey with a French charity that focuses on restoring telephone lines.

His journey concluded with speaking to a hotel owner who told Sky News that seven bodies have been recovered with a possibility of 30 more to retrieve.

The country’s president Joko Widodo visited the hotel while rescue attempts continued, promising aid would be sent – but only a ‘trickle’ is getting to those who need it.

Indonesia’s disaster agency estimates that 570,000 people have been impacted overall with at least 1,400 killed.
